Persimmon Homes

Persimmon Homes is the biggest house builder in the United Kingdom, offering a wide range of homes in many locations across the country. With many years of experience and learning in the market, Persimmon Homes is well placed to continue to exert its influence on the housing market for years to come.

Persimmon Homes began trading in 1972, and now encompasses three trading brands - Persimmon Homes, Charles Church and Westbury Partnerships- covering many aspects of the market.

The main business – Persimmon Homes – operates from 24 offices, these covering the north – in Edinburgh – to the south in Exeter, building a selection of three, four and five bedroom properties, among them detached, semi-detached and bungalows. A number of popular apartment developments complete a comprehensive and varied portfolio.

Charles Church operates in the exclusive homes market from nine offices across the country, with properties covering most styles and designs, all built to exacting quality standards.

The Westbury Partnership is focused on the social housing market, and encompasses an innovative timber frame manufacturing operation.

The Persimmon group has almost 80,000 land plots under its control, giving impressive leverage in the market, and builds around 12,000 homes each year.

Persimmon is run by an experienced management team, and shows impressive performance figures in recent years that stand it in good stead in terms of market changes and needs.

Persimmon Homes is renowned for a commitment to quality and attention to detail, and this is reflected in the company’s share prices and five year performance figures. However, recent surveys have seen Persimmon score average across the board, and sometimes below average in terms of post sales service.

Persimmon Homes, Charles Church and Westbury all operate a range of part exchange schemes aimed at helping homeowners move up the property ladder, and there are also frequent incentive schemes that are intended to appeal to the first time buyer.
